A nicotine supplement helps with the addiction portion of smoking but habit, yes habit is the behaviour that needs to be addressed to see our plan through to fruition. Habit is the biggest stumbling block to a life as a non-smoker.
We are creatures of habit, and we do many things throughout the day on auto pilot because we have done these things every day for most of our lives. Some habits are very constructive: eating regularly, brushing our teeth, hydrating regularly, working out daily, meditating and the list goes on.
Fear of illness or death from smoking, smoking now being socially unacceptable, or the cost of smoking breaking the bank is not enough to force us to quite smoking or there would not be smokers. We have repeatedly heard every reason in the book to quite smoking, so we are not going to relist them here. You already know the benefits of being smoke free.
