On Monday we confirmed that success with resolutions hinges on enjoying what we are doing.
Lets say we have decided to start working out and get into a healthy habit. What can we do to make it more enjoyable to ensure our success?
We can certainly entertain our mind while on a stationary bike or treadmill for example.
-We can scroll our phones. That is an easy way to dissolve an hour or so.
-Put on your favorite movie or show;
-Play a video game
and the list goes on. Before you know it, you have put 10 miles on your bike.
Make sure you are wearing comfie clothes and footwear. (Oh, and make sure you have a comfie seat on your bike too).
If you are more happy working out at home, get the equipment you need. Marketplace is filled with equipment at bargain prices. If you think you would be more likely to stick to a routine if you went to a gym on your way home from work, then invest in yourself and purchase a membership once the gyms reopen.
Alternatively, start walking outside. Get a partner (partnering up is great to keep you going) and do a daily walk with someone you would enjoy being and talking with each day.
Make the exercise experience as enjoyable as possible.
