We are focusing on post holiday stress and exhaustion.
One of the most common complaints is overspending.
No amount of worry will change what is already done. Be gentle with yourself. Worrying and stressing has no positive outcome.
Create a plan. Review your bills and create a budget.
Restrain from spending where spending is not necessary. It is amazing the money that can be saved by making coffee at home instead of purchasing a cup of java at Starbucks daily, for example. Take a lunch to work instead of buying it. There are many places to cut spending if we sit down and take the time to think about it.
Go through your house and sell off the clutter. Clean out the attic and basement and earn some extra cash. There are many positive spinoffs by doing this, not just creating extra funds.
With your new budget in hand, get your finances back in order.
What is the first thing that comes to mind to help you cut back on spending?
