We have been looking at ways to make our New Year’s resolutions enjoyable.
Wednesday we looked at workouts. Today we are focused on healthy eating.
To think you will eat healthy food that you do not like is not realistic. Keep your choices real. It is important however to also eliminate the unhealthy choices as well.
Do not be in a hurry to get healthy. Cut back calories to a healthy intake. In western society our biggest issue is portions (any sugar). Use an app to count the calories. These help you to be honest with yourself and to see where your calories are coming from. It might be a good idea to use the app before you begin your healthy eating regiment. It will certainly be informative.
Small portions are essential.
Ask yourself “What does my body require to be healthy?” Another important question, “Does my body need that food right now for fuel?” The answer will let you know if you should eat (or what to eat).
